The Leadless Pacing Conference 2026 – Leadless Cardiac Pacing, held on April 20–21, 2026, at the 4th Military Clinical Hospital in Wrocław, is now behind us—and we can confidently say: it was a great success!
This two-day international event, organized by the 4th Military Clinical Hospital – Heart Disease Center and the Clinical Research Support Center, brought together nearly 80 participants—specialists interested in the rapidly evolving field of leadless cardiac pacing technology.
The conference was opened by: Col. (ret.) Artur Wieraszko, MD, Acting Deputy Commander for Medical Affairs
Anna Skotny, MD, PhD, MBA, Director of the Clinical Research Support Center
Dariusz Jagielski, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Deputy Head of the Department of Cardiology
The first day focused primarily on lectures and clinical case analyses, providing a solid introduction to the topic of leadless pacing (LP).
The second day was opened by Professor Waldemar Banasiak, National Consultant in Cardiology. The program that day focused on the practical aspects of leadless cardiac pacing. Participants had the opportunity to watch procedure recordings as well as a live transmission from a pacemaker follow-up clinic, which attracted significant interest.
A key value of the conference was the opportunity to meet and engage in discussions with experts who have contributed to the development of this technology in Poland—Professor Przemysław Mitkowski and Professor Oskar Kowalski.
The conference was very well received and provided a space for numerous substantive and inspiring discussions.
The event received certification from SOWE and INFARMA and was held under the patronage of the Medical Research Agency, the Lower Silesian Medical Chamber, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the Wrocław City Office.
It was also the first conference in Poland fully dedicated to leadless cardiac pacing, as well as the first conference in the history of the 4th Military Clinical Hospital to be funded under a project from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The main organizer of the event was Professor Dariusz Jagielski, MD, Chair of the Organizing Committee. On behalf of the Clinical Research Support Center, the project was co-developed by Olga Zajączkowska, PhD, Eng., and Agnieszka Andrejków, MA.
